Job Description For Kira Learning Remote Jobs USA 2024

Join our first summer cohort of Content Developers who will help scale up our Computer Science and AI course offerings! Our curriculum is at the heart of our mission and product, and for 10 weeks you’ll collaborate with a talented team of content experts to design and develop up to 15 courses that will be used by our customers. As a Content Developer you’ll be responsible for building out the course end-to-end.

This includes creating:

• All video content, including examples, images, and technical instruction
• A project and other assessments for the end of each lesson and unit

During the 10 weeks, you’ll work with our internal Curriculum team and a Curriculum Support Specialist to rigorously test the curriculum, and also ensure we have ample content and practice problems for each course. 

We are looking for people who are curious and eager to build something from the ground up and have demonstrated experience teaching CS and AI content to students K-12.

• Work with other content experts to develop high-quality, engaging, and level appropriate content for students.
• Own concept-to-market life cycle of student learning experiences by developing lesson objectives, instructional content (videos,visuals, etc.), summative assessments, and projects for each unit.
• Work with learning design experts to ensure content aligns with pedagogical best practices.
• Work with CS standards experts to build rigorous content that engages students and teachers, and aligns with state standards and local contexts.
• Interact with teachers to best understand student, teacher, and classroom needs.
• Collaborate with Teacher PD and Product teams to ensure alignment of student content with teacher PD and resources, and with tools in the Kira platform that support teaching and learning.

Experience & Skills:

• A deep understanding of computer science principles and ability to communicate that to a K-12 audience
• Preferred experience in K-12 classroom teaching Computer Science
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; you can patiently, professionally and effectively communicate with a diverse and multicultural group of peers across time zones and continents
• Nimble and adaptable. Can roll with the punches and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
• A positive, can-do attitude. You’re not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity.
• You believe feedback is a gift. You can thoughtfully share feedback to others as needed, and you can receive feedback and grow from it.
• Will consistently contribute to a culture of inclusion where all team members feel a sense of belonging and can bring their authentic selves to work
• Strong proficiency in Google Workspace programs.
