As an SDR at ProsperOps, you will be at the heart of our sales operations, playing a crucial role in driving our business forward. Your primary focus will be on identifying and engaging potential clients, nurturing leads, and laying the groundwork for long-term customer relationships. This position is not just about sales; it’s about being a key contributor to our mission of transforming cloud cost management.

In the role of Sales Development Representative at ProsperOps, you will be a key driver of business growth and market expansion. Your responsibilities will center around generating new business opportunities, engaging potential clients, and contributing significantly to our revenue growth. As the initial point of contact for our prospects, you will set the tone for their experience with ProsperOps, influencing their perception and decision-making process regarding our AWS cost optimization solutions.
 

Your role extends beyond individual sales efforts; it involves a collaborative impact across the company. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and revenue operations teams, providing valuable insights that shape our sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and product development. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in educating the market about the importance of efficient cloud cost management, raising awareness about how it can drive business growth and sustainability.

  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of ProsperOps’ products and services to effectively communicate their value.
  • Conducting targeted research to identify key prospects in the cloud financial management sector.
  • Generating prospecting lists of decision-makers in target accounts using Apollo.io
  • Reaching out to potential clients through cold calling, cold emailing, and social media platforms for social selling and generating new leads.
  • Booking outbound meetings through various outreach methods, including cold calls, LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Coordinating meetings or demos between potential clients and the sales team.
  • Qualifying leads based on specific criteria, such as AWS spend and potential needs for cost optimization.
  • Managing relationships with warm leads and delivering relevant marketing content to prospects.
  • Collaboratively working with sales, marketing, and revenue operations teams to align strategies and optimize outreach efforts.
  • Tracking and managing prospect interactions and follow-ups within the HubSpot and Apollo.io. 
  • Participating in regular training and development sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Providing feedback to the marketing team on lead generation quality and campaign effectiveness.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic approaches.
  • Contributing to the refinement of sales pitches and materials based on prospect interactions and outcomes.
  • Actively listening to prospects during interactions to better understand their needs and tailor the sales approach.
  • Demonstrating creativity in outreach methods, such as using video prospecting and LinkedIn voice notes.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategies for lead generation and sales outreach.
  • Be the first point of contact for potential clients, representing ProsperOps and its values.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with company goals.
  • Engage in continuous learning about our products and the cloud financial management market.

Required Experience/Skills  

As a prospective member of the ProsperOps’ team, we’re looking for the following qualities and experience:

  • Prior sales development experience, particularly in technology or cloud-based services, is highly advantageous.
  • Industry knowledge of cloud computing and financial management, or a willingness to learn, would be a significant plus.
  • A foundational understanding of CRM tools (HubSpot, Apollo.io) to efficiently track and manage customer interactions and sales processes.
  • Proficiency in phone communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills, crucial for engaging and building relationships with prospects.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, essential for effectively conveying the value of ProsperOps’ solutions to potential clients.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage and interpret prospect data and sales opportunities.
  • A robust work ethic and the confidence to operate independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain robust relationships with the sales teams, marketing teams, and other departments we work with cross functionally. 
  • Aptitude for multitasking and prioritizing workload to optimize efficiency and meet sales targets.
  • Effective listening skills to understand and respond to prospect needs, ensuring a tailored and impactful sales approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage various tasks and responsibilities in a structured and efficient manner.
