Currently, we’re looking for freelance writers to join our fully remote and international newsroom.
Working with Destructoid means writing high-quality stories for Entertainment, with particular expertise in Sci-Fi/Fantasy franchises across movies, television, books, and anime. Competitive applicants will have in-depth knowledge about any of the movies or television shows listed below and are consistently up-to-date on the latest streaming releases. They will track current news and topics within the community to contribute in-depth guides, listicles, rankings, and breaking news. We encourage writers to use their own voice when writing.
Requirements:
- Follow trending topics and stay up-to-date on all things Entertainment
- Must be a self starter who can confidently pitch trending ideas
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories
- Good communication habits
Preferred:
- At least 1-2 years of prior game writing experience (with Trello and WordPress training)
- Deep knowledge of Entertainment franchises and their related communities
- Excitement, dedication, and an ability to pivot when needed
